Our Beginning
Ethan founded Micter Leather from a pivotal personal moment. Sitting on his father’s old leather sofa, he noticed a split in the armrest — a piece that carried countless family memories. That day, he realized some objects are worth more than their function; they hold emotion.
Challenges & Breakthroughs
Ethan’s first repair used single-use adhesive — effective at first, but damaging if repositioned. Later, water-based glue seemed promising, but lost adhesion in humid conditions.
Through constant feedback from friends, neighbors, and European customers on Amazon, Ethan and his team refined the formula. Partnering with a French premium leather supplier and a German industrial materials manufacturer, they developed an innovative adhesive: reusable, non-damaging, and even stronger with time.
